About US

We’re Emily & Kevin BENNETS — and this is our garden love story.
We didn’t set out to become expert gardeners.
In fact, the first time we planted something, we forgot to water it for a week.

But slowly, with each little sprout and every mistake, something beautiful started to grow — not just in the soil, but between us.
Lovers Gardening is where we share that journey with you: the real, imperfect, joyful world of growing together, one season at a time.

Emily — gentle hands & blooming hearts

34 years old | Preschool teacher & weekend gardener

Hi, I’m Emily — during the week, I help little ones grow with patience and play. On weekends, I swap picture books for seed packets and find peace in the garden.

My love for plants started young, in my mom’s flower beds and my grandma’s herb garden.
I don’t follow strict garden rules — I just try to make things feel soft, colorful, and full of life.

I love sharing easy flower tips and cozy garden inspiration to help you transform even the smallest corner into a blooming, meaningful space.

Kevin – The soul of the edible garden

Age: 37 | Former project manager turned full-time garden enthusiast

I’m Kevin — and if you’d told me ten years ago I’d be growing carrots and composting coffee grounds for fun, I wouldn’t have believed you.

But one weekend, Emily asked me to help her plant a few herbs… and something clicked.
Now, I’m hooked on growing our own food — herbs, tomatoes, salad greens — you name it.

On the blog, I share easy, practical gardening tips — the kind that actually help, even if you’re short on space or just starting out.
My motto? Begin small, dig in, and enjoy every bit of it.

What we grow here?

We made Lovers Gardening for people like us — people who love slowing down, making things by hand, and watching something come to life.

This blog isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence. About getting outside, learning as you go, and finding joy in the little things.

So whether you have a backyard, a balcony, or a windowsill…
pull up a chair. You’re in the right place!!!

Grab a tea, take a breath,
and let’s grow something beautiful — together.

Happy Gardening !!
